Body of Man Found Beside Rail Tracks
The unidentified body of a man thought to be in his mid-40s was found Friday afternoon beside railroad tracks.
Paramedics pronounced the man dead about 3 p.m. at the scene, in a small unincorporated area surrounded by Anaheim, Garden Grove and Stanton.
Sheriff’s deputies were investigating the case as a possible homicide. Sheriff’s Lt. Richard J. Olson said the cause of death is undetermined, with an autopsy scheduled for this morning.
Olson said the body was found fully clothed and face down in gravel and dirt about 10 feet north of the railroad tracks between Brookhurst and Gilbert streets, south of Cerritos Avenue.
