DowDell Pitches No-Hitter, Hits Home Run; El Dorado Wins, 11-1
Tyson DowDell pitched a no-hitter, striking out four and walking none during El Dorado’s 11-1 victory over Loara in an Empire League baseball game Friday at El Dorado.
El Dorado committed six errors, including two in the fourth inning when Loara scored its only run on a sacrifice fly by Aaron France.
DowDell (5-1), a right-handed senior, also hit his fourth home run of the season in the sixth inning. He had two hits and three runs batted in.
Mark Selway had two hits and two RBIs, John Street had two hits and an RBI and Brian Loyd had two hits for El Dorado (16-5, 9-2). Loara is 7-14 and 2-9.
