Authorities Identify Man Shot by Police
Authorities have released the identity of a man shot by police this week at an Encanto bar.
Roberto Sanchez Contreras was shot to death by a San Diego police officer on Sunday after he harassed customers and assaulted police at the Lomita Club in the 6400 block of Imperial Avenue, authorities said.
Officer Kevin McNamara, 26, fired the shot that hit Contreras. McNamara’s partner, William T. Lundy, had fired a Taser gun at Contreras before the shooting.
