Man Dies in Orange Bar Shooting
ORANGE —
Police said Wednesday they are investigating a shooting at a bar that left one man dead.
Officers, who went to the Los Vacitos Cafe at 9:40 p.m. Tuesday to answer a report of gunshots, found Guadalupe Chavez lying in the doorway bleeding from a gunshot wound to the head, said Lt. Trey Sirks.
Chavez died at 3:50 p.m. Wednesday at UCI Medical Center in Orange.
The gunman had fled the bar at 223 W. Chapman Ave. before authorities arrived, and the motive for the slaying is still unknown, police said.
