Arcadia : Meetings on Bond Election

A public meeting regarding the Sept. 15 Arcadia school bond election will be held at 7 p.m. today at Hugo Reid School, 1000 Hugo Reid Drive.
Also, at 1 p.m. Saturday, a group of parents and music students plan a sidewalk parade along Baldwin Avenue between Naomi Avenue and Huntington Drive to protest a school board plan to cut elementary music programs next year, said Lael Collins, a parent who is helping organize the demonstration.
Additional meetings on the bond election will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Dana Junior High School, 1401 S. 1st Ave., and at 7 p.m. June 4, at Camino Grove School, 700 Camino Grove Ave.
