As the Valley has matured, it has developed its own base for cultural arts, entertainment and a broad range of lifestyles that reflect the active, interesting lives of its residents.

The Times today is launching Valley Life, a colorful new section that we think will capture all that is unique about the San Fernando Valley and the nearby Santa Clarita and Antelope valleys. You can still go “over the hill” if you want to, but Valley Life every Friday will give you a myriad of choices of things to do near home as well as stories about the interesting people and places in your community.
