Award Time: “Wayne’s World” star and TV talk show host Dana Carvey will host the 1992 MTV Video Music Awards, scheduled for Sept. 9 at UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion. This will be the ninth annual ceremony, and the seventh year in a row the awards have emanated from Los Angeles. . . . Jerry Lewis has been named the 1992 inductee of the Just for Laughs International Humor Hall of Fame. His induction will be part of Showtime cable’s telecast of the 10th annual Montreal Comedy Festival on Aug. 15, which will be hosted by Lily Tomlin.
