Northeast Los Angeles : Free Lunches for Children

The Los Angeles Parks and Recreation Department will serve free lunches to children at recreation centers throughout the city.

The program, funded through the U.S. Department of Agriculture, runs July 6 through Aug. 14. Lunch will be served for two hours. Times and locations:

* Alpine, 817 Yale St., 11:30 a.m.

* Bellevue, 826 Lucille Ave., noon.

* Chevy Chase, 4165 Chevy Chase Drive, 11:30 a.m.

* Downey, 1755 N. Spring St., 11:45 a.m.

* Eagle Rock, 1100 Eagle Vista Drive, 12:15 p.m.

* Echo Park, 1632 Bellevue Ave., 11:45 a.m.

* El Sereno, 4721 Klamath St., 12:15 a.m.

* Elysian Valley, 1811 Ripple St., 11:30 a.m.

* Glassell, 3570 Verdugo Road, 11:45 a.m.

* Highland Park, 6150 Piedmont Ave., noon.

* Montecito Heights, 4545 Homer St., noon.

* Rose Hill, 4530 Mercury Ave., 12:30 p.m.

* Silver Lake, 1850 W. Silver Lake Drive, noon.
