Seven female athletes at the University of Texas filed a federal class-action lawsuit accusing the school of sex discrimination by denying them a chance to participate in some varsity intercollegiate sports. Diane Henson, the lawyer representing the women, said the lawsuit doesn’t seek monetary damages but attempts to force Texas to add women’s softball, soccer, crew and gymnastics.
