60 at Cathedral Demonstrate for Abortion Rights

About 60 abortion rights advocates demonstrated peacefully for three hours Sunday outside St. Vibiana’s Cathedral in downtown Los Angeles to protest the Roman Catholic Church’s opposition to abortion.
Worshipers at the 10 a.m. Mass celebrated by Cardinal Roger M. Mahony, archbishop of Los Angeles, walked past protesters to enter the church, authorities said.
