Marc Dones, a 6-year-old boy, filed a lawsuit in Pontiac, Mich., against Isiah Thomas, asking a judge to amend his birth certificate to include the Detroit Piston guard’s name as his natural father.

The suit is the second court action involving Thomas and the boy. Jenni Robertson Dones filed a paternity claim against Thomas in 1985.

Dones, who has since sued her attorney for malpractice, claims he negotiated an agreement with Thomas’ attorney that did not adequately provide for the boy’s support and educational needs.
