A Valencia man was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and other felonies Friday in an alleged drunk-driving accident that killed a 35-year-old woman July 8 in Burbank.

Aaron Burban, 26, was also charged by the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office with vehicular manslaughter and felony drunken driving in connection with the crash at Burbank Boulevard and Front Street, said Burbank Police Sgt. Don Goldberg.

Police say Burban ran a stop sign on Front Street and hit the other car, fatally injuring passenger Laurie Seip. The driver of that car was Seip’s boyfriend, Nelson Hull, 34, who police said was also driving while intoxicated.

Burban and Hull were both arrested for investigation of drunken driving. The case involving Hull has not yet been presented to the district attorney’s office. Goldberg said there was no evidence that Hull, though driving while drunk, was driving erratically or had contributed to the accident.

Burban and Hull both suffered minor injuries in the accident. Burban was arrested at his home and was being held without bail at the County Jail. He is expected to be arraigned Monday in Burbank Municipal Court, Goldberg said.
