San Diego : Youth Killed in Fall Off Cliff Identified
A 16-year-old who fell to his death Sunday while hiking on the cliffs above Black’s Beach in the Torrey Pines Mesa area was identified Monday as Ronald Augustin Christman Jr. of Alpine.
He fell about 200 feet while hiking in the Saddleback area about 7:30 p.m. Sunday. The fall killed him instantly, a spokeswoman for the San Diego County medial examiner’s office said.
The cliffs in the area are about 600 feet high, a city lifeguard spokesman said.
