Seti I. Wins Feature at Hollywood Park
Seti I., who was just off the lead most of the way, moved in front early in the stretch and held off Polar Boy in the final strides to win Friday’s $36,000 feature race on the turf at Hollywood Park.
Seti I., ridden by Alex Solis, was a head in front of Polar Boy at the wire, with 8-5 favorite Breakfast Table another five lengths back.
Seti I., winning for the third time in nine starts this year, covered 1 1/16 miles in 1:40 4-5.
At 7-2, the fourth wagering choice in the five-horse field, Seti I. paid $9.80, $3.80 and $2.60. Polar Boy, ridden by Kent Desormeaux, returned $3.60 and $2.40, and the show payoff on Breakfast Table was $2.20.
Solti I., trained by Jack Van Berg, earned $19,800 to push his earnings past $200,000.
