Aftershocks Rattle Desert, Big Bear Area
A magnitude 3.4 aftershock in the desert earthquake sequence struck Saturday 11 miles east of Desert Hot Springs, in the vicinity of Friday’s two 4.7 temblors, Caltech seismologists reported. Also detected was a 3.7 aftershock of the June 28 Big Bear earthquake, centered one mile northeast of Big Bear Lake. No damage was reported.
