Bjorn Borg defeated No. 430-ranked George Bezecny, 6-3, 6-4, in the first round of the $250,000 U.S. Pro Tennis Championships at Brookline, Mass.
Bezecny, a 26-year-old University of Georgia graduate, saved four match points.
