Tiger Woods of Cypress moved closer to a repeat as champion of the U.S. Junior Amateur tournament by beating Scott Persin of Naperville, Fla., 4 and 3, and Ryan Armour of Silver Lake, Ohio, 8 and 6.
Woods, 16, faces Jon Bartlett, 15, of Ocala, Fla., in a semifinal match today at Milton, Mass.
