SAN DIEGO : San Carlos Man Killed in Accident
A San Carlos man was killed Sunday when his van flipped after colliding with a car.
Anthony Steven Norton, 29, an inspector for the Orange County Water Authority, suffered head injuries and died at the scene at the intersection of Friars Road and Mission Gorge Road, medical examiner investigator Robert Engel said.
Norton was thrown through the passenger side door and pinned as the van turned on its side.
Norton was eastbound on Mission Gorge Road shortly before midnight when he tried to turn onto Friars Road and drifted into westbound traffic, where he struck a car. Occupants in the car were not injured or cited, Engel said.
