Missing Boy Sought in Chula Vista
Chula Vista police called in reserves Tuesday night to search for an 8-year-old boy who was reported missing by his mother after he failed to come home from school, authorities said.
Joe Gutierrez “got in trouble at school,” and, after an argument with his mother, Sylvia Gutierrez, “he just didn’t come home,” Police Lt. Richard Strickland said.
Strickland said the mother phoned authorities at 4:45 p.m., after which a team of reserves was dispatched to the 200 block of Malito Court, where the family lives, and near Aurora Elementary School, where the boy was last seen earlier in the day.
