Misdemeanor charges of solicitation filed against Ferrell Edmunds and Larry Webster of the Miami Dolphins will be dropped if the players complete a pretrial diversion program, authorities said.
The two former University of Maryland teammates have the option of entering an AIDS education program and having the charges against them dropped, said Sam Slom, the chief of Dade County (Fla.) Court for the state attorney’s office. The program consists of going to an hourlong AIDS education class and taking an AIDS test.
