Phone Calls for Council

I want to express the appreciation of the World Affairs Council of Ventura County for your excellent July 20 article describing our development and growth, and the future outlook for the council. Our last event, for Dr. Edward Teller, was sold out, and our membership is burgeoning.

I would like to clarify one point, however. Because Deloitte Touche was mentioned in the article as having generously provided the World Affairs Council with an office and phone, their switchboard has been overwhelmed with calls. It would help relieve the situation if those who are interested in contacting the council called us directly at either 988-7610 or 648-1882.
