The Chicago Cubs suspended Brandon Pico, an 18-year-old outfielder for their Appalachian League team at Huntington, W.Va., for the rest of the season for an unspecified reason.
Pico, from Newport, R.I., was batting .220 with one home run and 16 runs batted in in 32 games said Huntington Cubs’ spokesman Clark Haptonstall, who refused to elaborate on the suspension.
