Offensive lineman Pat Tomberlin of the Indianapolis Colts was arrested accused of public intoxication and resisting arrest after he was found slumped over the steering wheel of his pickup truck, Marion County sheriff’s deputies said.
They gave this account:
Tomberlin was found at 5:45 a.m. EDT Sunday after his truck apparently jumped a curb. He tried to start the truck when a deputy told him to get out and refused to be handcuffed by two deputies, who then sprayed him with a chemical repellent. Empty beer cans were found on the front seat of the truck and Tomberlin smelled of alcohol.
Tomberlin, 26, was released on $1,500 bail.
