California IN BRIEF : BIG BEAR LAKE : Early Morning Aftershock of June Quake Causes No Damage

A magnitude 4.1 aftershock of the June 28 earthquake struck the Big Bear area, Caltech scientists said. The latest temblor, at 2:46 a.m. Tuesday, caused no damage. It was centered six miles southeast of Big Bear Lake, in the same vicinity as a 5.2 aftershock that hit Monday. Hundreds of aftershocks have shaken Big Bear since the 6.6-magnitude main earthquake.
