From Staff and Wire Reports
Quarterbacks and offensive linemen of the New Orleans Saints and Houston Oilers will wear electronic transmitters and receivers today at the Superdome as part of an NFL experiment aimed at helping visiting teams overcome crowd noise.
The experiment, recommended by the NFL competition committee, will wire the starting and backup quarterbacks and tackles for each team.
They will be used only when the offenses move inside the opponent’s 20-yard line.
