Treboh Joe Loses Again, Ties Record Skid of 166

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — Treboh Joe, a 9-year-old gelding, tied a world record for consecutive standardbred losses Friday night, finishing seventh in a field of eight in a race at Pocono Downs.
The loss tied Treboh Joe with New Express, who set the record of 166 in a row from 1977 to 1984.
Treboh Joe, who last won on June 4, 1986, at Saratoga Raceway, went off at 12-1 odds in the one-mile race.
Willie Mitchell Jr. of Wilkes-Barre owns and drives Treboh Joe.
