A man wanted in connection with a computer equipment robbery in Huntington Beach more than a year ago was arrested Wednesday at Los Angeles International Airport as he arrived on a flight from Vietnam.

Customs agents arrested Son Hung Pham, 29, and turned him over to Huntington Beach police, who took him to City Jail.

Pham fled to Vietnam after the July 18, 1991, armed robbery, Police Lt. Ed McErlain said. Police, anticipating that Pham might try to re-enter the United States, notified U.S. Customs.

In the robbery, three gun-toting men forced their way into Stratcon Inc., an electronics assembly plant at 5212 Bolsa Ave., and bound three people before fleeing with an estimated $300,500 in computer chips, police said.

Two men were later arrested in connection with the robbery, McErlain said.

Pham, whose bail was set at $160,000, is scheduled to be arraigned today, McErlain said.
