GOLF ROUNDUP : Beck (65) Leads Couples by Two

Chip Beck one-putted 11 times while shooting a five-under-par 65 that gave him a two-stroke lead over Fred Couples after Thursday’s storm-interrupted first round of the World Series of Golf at Akron, Ohio.

David Peoples and D.A. Weibring were tied at 68.
