Law” picked up a simple black evening dress from the Forgotten Woman (one of her on-screen sources) and a sequin jacket from Audrey Jones. Alice Ghostley counted on “Designing Women” designing man Cliff Chally to get her “gussied up” in a white beaded dress. Kay Lenz relied on “Reasonable Doubts” costume designer Marcee Smith for a black, beaded, lace dress. Nancy Cartwright, the voice of Bart Simpson, went out on her own to buy an hourglass-shaped sequin dress. What would Bart say about the dress? “He’d say ‘Woo-hoo Mama!’ ” Cartwright whooped.
