Cecil Espy of the Pittsburgh Pirates was arrested in San Diego on suspicion of spousal abuse after a weekend series against the San Diego Padres.
Espy’s ex-wife Michaela B. Walter, 30, reported to police that she was attacked by Espy shortly before midnight on Saturday at the Marriott Hotel, where the Pirates were staying.
