Share

At least three ice cream vendors in Oxnard have been victims of armed robberies in the past four days, authorities said.

The latest incident occurred about 7 p.m. Monday when two armed men robbed an ice cream vendor in the 700 block of South G Street near downtown, said David Keith, a senior crime analyst for the Oxnard Police Department.

The vendor, Carlos Guzman, had stopped his truck when he was confronted by the robbers.

The men got away with $300 in cash, Keith said.

At least two other armed robberies of ice cream vendors have occurred since last weekend, he said.
