Glenn Foley passed for three touchdowns and Darnell Campbell had two scoring runs Saturday as Boston College won its first season-opener in five years, a 37-20 victory over Rutgers at Boston.

Boston College led, 10-7, when Foley connected with Keith Miller for a 45-yard touchdown pass play 2:04 before halftime.

The Eagles dominated the third quarter, outscoring Rutgers, 20-7, to pull away.

Nearly every Eagle score against a defense that ranked second in the Big East last year resulted from a big play.
