RAIN CHECK: Soccer players share a kindred spirit. Mission Viejo-based Region 84 youth soccer heard that hurricanes wiped out fields and equipment for six soccer regions in Florida, Louisiana and Hawaii, so they’ve decided to donate every dime of proceeds from their recent Mission Viejo Classic--$5,000--to help those drenched soccer programs. . . . They’re also asking each of their 3,500 soccer players to donate $1 and, of course, will gladly accept any other donations.
