West Los Angeles : Forum on School Reforms

The Palisades Education Complex, serving nine public schools on the Westside, will hold its first public fall meeting Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Paul Revere Middle School library, 1450 Allenford Ave., Brentwood.
Speakers regarding proposals for reforming the Los Angeles Unified School District will include UTLA president Helen Bernstein; Mike Roos, president of LEARN (Los Angeles Educational Alliance for Restructuring Now); Robert Scott, president of the United Chambers of the San Fernano Valley and principal proponent of a plan to create a separate Valley district, and Mark Slavkin, Westside school board representative.
