Hotel Bargains in British Columbia : Seniors can save nearly 60% at Canadian Pacific properties in Vancouver, Victoria and Whistler.

Substantial discounts, ranging up to almost 60% for travelers at four Canadian Pacific Hotels & Resorts in British Columbia, are being offered for this winter and for spring, 1993. Rates quoted below are for one or two persons and include continental breakfast. Participating hotels include:

* Waterfront Centre, a new hotel in the heart of downtown Vancouver within walking distance of theaters, parks, galleries and shopping. Regular room rate $195 U.S.; discounted 57%, senior rate $85 through April 12, 1993.

* Hotel Vancouver, an older property that has been completely renovated, noted for its service and traditional ambience, also in the city center. Regular rate $175; discounted 59%, senior rate $72 through April 12.

* The Empress, a landmark hotel in Victoria, the provincial capital on Vancouver Island. It was recently restored at a cost of $45 million. Many seniors who visit Victoria use the city’s horse-drawn carriages, double-decker buses or tandem bicycles for sightseeing and transportation. Regular rate $123; discounted 35%, senior rate $80. * Chateau Whistler Resort, at the base of two breathtaking mountains in Whistler, B.C.
