Carson 36, Washington 12--Carson quarterback Jamie Sanders completed nine of 19 passes for 204 yards and three touchdowns and running back Robert Johnson ran for 80 yards and a touchdown as the Colts beat Washington in a Southern Pacific Conference game at Gardena High School.

Washington came within five points, 17-12, with 11:11 left in the game on an 85-yard pass from quarterback R.B. Bonner to receiver Terrance Parker.

But the Colts responded with touchdown passes of 27 yards to receiver Ernest Claxton and 18 yards to running back Sean Turner. Linebacker Chris Vaimili had a 35-yard interception return to end the scoring.
