ROUNDUP : Mischievous Music Wins Young America
Mischievous Music beat Awad by a head to win the Grade II Young America at the Meadowlands on Friday night.
The lead changed at nearly every marker during the 1 1/16-mile race of 11 2-year-old colts on the turf.
Randy Romero moved up Mischievous Music to challenge Awad, the second betting favorite, and the two traded the lead down the stretch, hitting the mile marker together in 1:36 3/5.
Mischievous Music paid $47, $3.20 and $2.40. Awad paid $3.60 and $3.00, P.J. Higgins $3.00.

Nezzie Berlin took the lead in midstretch and held off favored Ben’s Moment to win the My Little Molly purse for fillies and mares at Aqueduct.
Nezzie Berlin was ridden by Chris Antley, who was scoring his fourth victory of the day. Nezzie Berlin finished 1 1/4 lengths ahead of Ben’s Moment, ridden by Robbie Davis.
The victory was the fifth in 10 starts this year for Nezzie Berlin, who covered the mile on a fast track in 1:38 to earn $28,200 for Robert Roffey.
Nezzie Berlin returned $21.20, $3 and $2.60. Ben’s Moment paid $2.60 and $2.10, Avie’s Daisy $3.20.

Starlight Flight, ridden by Alberto Delgado, beat Judaire’s Mint by a length in the $16,500 allowance feature Friday at Laurel Race Course.
The 3-year-old filly, trained by Ronald Cartwright, ran six furlongs in 1:11 1-5 and paid $5, $3.20 and $3.
Judaire’s Mint was worth $8.40 and $6.20, with Glorious Maiden returning $7 to show.
