AROUND THE NFL : RAMS : Delpino Not Ready to Return

Although running back Robert Delpino is eligible to be activated off of the injured-reserve list this week, he said that his injured left knee so far isn’t strong enough to consider playing Sunday against the Phoenix Cardinals.

“Even if it was the Super Bowl, I don’t think I’d take the chance on it this week,” Delpino said. “If it was ready, I’d be the first one in there. But the knee’s just not ready to go now.”

Delpino, who suffered the injury Oct. 4, did some light jogging Wednesday during practice for the first time since the injury.

Receiver Flipper Anderson, who has been sidelined because of an injury to his right ankle, returned to practice for the first time in several weeks. But Anderson, who sat out last week’s game, did not participate in all of the workout. “It was cool while I was doing my routes, but as the day went on, it got a little bit more sore, I guess from the pounding,” Anderson said. He added that he will be ready by Sunday.
