PREP NOTES
Frightening Irish: Allen Carter, assistant coach at Anaheim High School, is not a Notre Dame fan. As a graduate of USC, where he played football, that’s understandable.
But how much does he dislike the Fighting Irish?
Well, Anaheim was playing Kennedy, also nicknamed the Fighting Irish, during a nonleague game. Before the game, the Kennedy band played the Notre Dame fight song.
“I looked over at Allen and he had his hands over his ears,” Colonist Coach Todd Borowski said. “I said, ‘Allen what the heck are you doing?’ He said, ‘I really hate that song.’ ”
Anaheim won, 15-0.
