LANCASTER : Man Robbed Before Death, Police Believe

Authorities believe that a 69-year-old Lancaster man discovered dead in his apartment was the victim of a robbery, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said Tuesday.
A neighbor found Eddie Mead on Monday morning in his apartment in the 45300 block of Sierra Highway, Deputy Rich Erickson said.
Erickson said it appeared that Mead had been robbed prior to his death, but the deputy did not say what had been taken from the apartment.
