Crenshaw
I applaud “Bringing It All Back Home” (by Nina Easton, Oct. 26). It is the best analysis I have yet to read on the problems and the successes of the Crenshaw community. I would only add that my office continues the grass-roots letter-writing campaign to induce Nordstrom and other franchises to stop avoiding our community.
I am still determined to advocate for a Metro Rail spur line that would run down Crenshaw, through Inglewood to Los Angeles International Airport. This transit artery is essential to South Los Angeles’ economic viability.
