Becky Pines, coach of the Southern California College women’s volleyball team, has resigned after four seasons with the Vanguards.

Under Pines, the Vanguards narrowly missed making the NAIA District 3 playoffs in each of the last four seasons. SCC was 10-17 this season.

Pines said she stepped down to spend more time with her infant son, Joshua.

Athletic Director Ron Prettyman announced that the college will accept applications for Pines’ replacement until Dec. 1.
