Two men and a woman who all appeared to be in their late teens were found shot to death Sunday in a Santa Fe Springs park, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies said.

The bodies were discovered at about 6 a.m. near a barbecue pit at Lake Center Park in the 11600 block of Florence Avenue, Deputy Rob Weber said.

Deputies found the bodies while responding to two calls reporting shots fired, Weber said. One resident said the shots came from a nearby high school, and another said the shots came from a site several blocks away from the school, Weber said. No suspects were in custody, and it was not known if the victims were shot elsewhere and dumped in the park, he said.
