COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Giem Leads Christ College Irvine’s 114-31 Victory

Stacey Giem made five three-point baskets and scored 23 points to lead Christ College Irvine to a 114-31 victory over Pacific Christian Tuesday at CCI.
Christ College (5-1) led, 70-24, at the half and easily surpassed the school record for points in a game. The record was 106 against Whittier in the 1990-91 season.
Genevieve Graff had 19 points and nine assists, Wendy Johnson had 16 points, Talia Crooks had 14 points and 11 rebouds and Stacy Kirch had 12 points eight assistant and six steals for the Eagles.
In nonleague women’s basketball
Pepperdine 82, UC Irvine 60--Nikki Brodoway led a balanced scoring attack with 14 points as Pepperdine defeated the host Anteaters, who were led in scoring by Karie Yoshioka with 13 points. It was the season opener for both teams.
