Burns Misses Shot at PGA Tour
Bob Burns, an NCAA Division II individual golf champion at Cal State Northridge, shot a three-over-par 75 Thursday and missed earning his 1993 PGA Tour card by five strokes in the 108-hole qualifying tournament at The Woodlands in Texas.
Burns carded a six-round total of 72-71-70-72-77-75--437. There was a five-way tie for first at 423. The top 40 plus ties earned their cards.
