Talent Support: KCET Channel 28 is establishing an “Emerging African American Performing Artists Award” competition and will showcase the winners at a Black History Month gala on Jan. 25. The Ambassador Foundation is providing the lead grant for the competition whose goal is to develop young African-American performers in the classical arts. Scholarships of up to $1,500 will go to the winners.
