HELPING OTHERS: Laguna Beach physician and gay activist Don G. Hagan, who died of AIDS complications in March, named as beneficiaries in his will several AIDS and gay groups. His partner, Drew Barras, said Hagan wanted to encourage other gays to leave similar wills to help fight AIDS. The largest Hagan gift, $92,100, went to the Southern California Physicians for Human Rights for gay medical student scholarships. Hagan donated to about a dozen groups, most in Orange County.
