AGOURA HILLS : Body of Man Found in Creek

Share

The body of a man who had been beaten on the head was discovered submerged in an Agoura Creek by Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies Friday after large amounts of blood were found at a nearby shack, the Sheriff’s Department said.

The body appeared to be that of a Guatemalan day worker who lived in a shack alongside Medea Creek, near Kanan and Cornell roads, Sgt. Ron Spear said.

Deputies searched the area after a friend of the victim discovered large amounts of blood in the shack when he stopped to visit.

A positive identification of the man, described as 25 to 35 years of age, will be made by the coroner’s office, Spear said.

Authorities believe the man was killed several days before the discovery of his body, Spear said.

No arrest has been made in connection with the slaying.
