Strawberry Is Hurt in Collision
Dodger outfielder Darryl Strawberry suffered minor cuts to his head Friday in a traffic accident in Van Nuys, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
Strawberry, 30, of Encino, was making a left turn in his 1991 Mercedes-Benz convertible from a private driveway in the 8200 block of Sepulveda Boulevard at about 3 p.m. and collided with a 1973 Dodge van traveling south on Sepulveda, police said. Strawberry was not hospitalized.
Mario Alatorre, 29, of Van Nuys, the driver of the van, complained of pain in his body and legs, but was not hospitalized, police said. Neither motorist was cited at the scene, they said.
