Dispatchers’ Gripes
With regard to the article concerning the San Diego County dispatchers: It seems that, in this period of hard times for a good part of the working force of California, the aforementioned group of “workers” would be a little more appreciative of the job they have.
Considering the paid health care, sick leave and vacation, four hours a week of overtime seems a small price to pay for the job security they enjoy.
However, if the present conditions are not satisfactory, perhaps they should seek employment elsewhere. But I cannot think of anyplace that would hire a group of whining malcontents that have the benefits that the county pays.
